The College of Lake County women's tennis team picked up a shutout victory over a shorthanded McHenry squad.

Reagan Mohr dominated at #3 singles, cruising to a 6-0, 6-0 victory. At #4 singles, Valerie Mendoza battled through a close first set, winning 6-3, before pulling away in the second set with a 6-0 victory.

Melanie Garcia faced a battle at #5 singles. Garcia won the first set 6-4 before McHenry responded with a 6-0 second-set win. Garcia held her composure in the match tiebreaker, pulling out an 11-9 victory to secure the match.

Only one doubles match was played, with Anahi Mondragon and Mendoza dominating their opponents 8-2.

The Lancers return to action at Lakes Community High School in Lake Villa against Waubonsee, with a 1:45 p.m. start time.
