Does CLC offer scholarships for athletics?
Yes, we offer athletic scholarships for all sports.

What does being eligible to play mean?
You meet all NJCAA eligibility requirements. Please visit http://www.clclancers.com/eligibility for more information.
Do I have to be full time to play sports?
Typically yes, but there are exceptions. Please contact the Athletic Director to see if you qualify.
What's the minimum GPA to be eligible to play?
A student-athlete must earn a 2.0 GPA each semester to maintain eligibility.
How many credit hours do I need to pass in order to be eligible to play?
Typically you must be enrolled in 12 credit hours per semester but this depends on other factors. For more info, please contact the Athletic Director or the Academic Compliance Coordinator.
Do athletes have to pay to participate in a sport?
No, there is not a fee, and uniforms and most of the equipment are provided.
What does it mean to "red shirt" or "grey shirt"?
To "red shirt" or "grey shirt" means a delay or suspension of your participation in athletics for various circumstances. Please contact the Athletic Director for more information.
When are tryouts for athletic teams?
Tryout dates are posted on www.clclancers.com, or you can contact the coach for tryout information.
Can I get a physical on campus for sports?
Yes, during designated times. Please contact the Athletic Director at x2477 or the Athletic Trainer at x2671 for futher information.
Who can I talk to about holds on my account and eligibility issues?

I'm an athlete and need to leave my car overnight, what do I do?
Please contact your coach, complete the required form, and submit to the athletic office.
Do you sell food and/or drinks at the games?
There are vending machines available and concessions are sold during home athletic and special events.
Is there an admission fee to the games?
No, currently there is no entrance fee for regular home events.
Where is the CLC Athletic Hall of Fame located?
In the Gym and on the Athletic website, www.clclancers.com

Fitness Center and Gymnasium FAQ's
Where is the Fitness Center located?
On the Grayslake Campus in the Physical Education Center, Building F (7), room 703
What are the Fitness Center hours?
General hours during the Spring and Fall semesters are 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 7:30 to 4 p.m. on Friday, and closed on Saturday and Sunday. Please check with the P.E. Center for specific hours during the summer, holidays or semester breaks.
Who can use the Fitness Center and Gym?
The Fitness Center is available to current CLC students enrolled in a credit class, as well as CLC employees and alumni association members.
Are all students able to use the Fitness Center and Gym?
Students must be enrolled in the current semester and must be taking at least one credit class to use the Fitness Center.
Can community members use the Fitness Center and Gym?
Yes, for community members, the cost for a pass is $75 per semester, $50 for the Summer Session or a $200 annual fee.
Who do I contact for an Alumni pass?

What do I need to provide to use the Fitness Center and Gym?
Current students and staff must present a CLC ID (or another photo ID). Community members and Alumni must present a valid pass.
Can I bring a guest to use the Fitness Center/Gym?
No, you must be a current student or CLC employee, purchase a community membership or join the Alumni Association.
Is there a punch card offered to use the Fitness Center/Gym?
We currently do not offer a punch card.
Is there a daily pass offered to use the Fitness Center/Gym?
We currently do not offer this type of pass.
Are patrons allowed to bring a child/children with them to workout?
No children under the age of 18 are not permitted.
Are there lockers and showers to use?
Yes, they are available for daily use only.
Do I need to bring my own lock for the lockers?
No, when you check in at the Front Desk a locker key is provided for daily use.
What activity classes are free?
Free Zumba and Yoga classes are offered on Fridays during the Fall and Spring semesters for current students and CLC employees.
When is the gym available for open play?
Gym activities, such as basketball and volleyball, are available when the gym is not in use by scheduled events, classes or athletics.
How do I find the Open Gym hours for the day?
A calendar is maintained by the PEC Front Desk or you call 847-543-2727 to ask about open gym hours.
Do I have to bring my own basketball/volleyball for open gym?
Basketballs and volleyballs are available to check out with a student ID.
I think I lost/left an item. Is there a lost and found?
Yes, please visit the Front Desk or call 847-543-2727 to inquire about an item.
What clothing is acceptable for Fitness Center use?
Shirts and shoes must be worn. Appropriate workout clothes only. No jeans or clothing with belts or zippers are allowed.
Can I use/bring chalk in the Fitness Center?
No chalk is allowed in the Fitness Center.
Do you have a pool?
No.
Do you have personal trainers?
Personal Trainers are offered for a fee through the Center for Health and Wellness, please call 847-543-WELL (9355) for more information.
Who do I talk to about renting the gym?
