Coach HD Cruz enters her 3rd season as Assistant Coach and Goalkeeper Coach for the Lancers. In 2024, Coach Cruz worked with Sophomore Giselle Mata, who was named to the All-Region team for Region IV. Mata was also named the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference 1st Team All-Conference and Goalkeeper of the Year while being among the nation's leaders in games, minutes, saves, save percentage, and wins. In 2023, Coach Cruz also helped Freshman Mackenzie Arden earn the Skyway Conference 1st Team All-Conference and conference Goalkeeper of the Year. Coach Cruz is from Zion, IL where she went to high school and later became a student-athlete at the College of Lake County.
