The Lancers dropped a 2–6 decision to Elgin in a tough match up against one of the region's top attacking teams. After a strong start, the Lancers jumped out to a 2–1 lead behind goals from Ezekial Maya, who converted from the penalty spot, and Carlos Banales, who finished off a setup from Diego Tapia.
Elgin's high-powered offense, however, proved difficult to contain as they surged ahead in the second half.
The Lancers will look to regroup and build on the positives from their early play as they prepare for their next match.
Back in action September 20th as the Lancers host Joliet Junior College for an 11:00am kickoff.
