The College of Lake County men's soccer team bounced back in strong fashion with a commanding 5–0 victory, showcasing dominance in possession and a disciplined defensive performance.
The breakthrough came late in the first half when Ezekiel Maya calmly converted from the penalty spot to give the Lancers a 1–0 lead at halftime.
The second half featured an offensive surge, with four goals sealing the result. Maya doubled his tally off an assist from Ramiro Diaz, before Diaz himself found the back of the net on a setup from Hector Sanchez. Oscar Hernandez Campa extended the lead with a well-taken finish assisted by Pablo Garcia, and Yovani Maganda capped off the night with a goal of his own, created by Mark Vrana.
On the defensive end, goalkeeper Denny Matute came up big with five saves to secure the clean sheet, ensuring the Lancers' dominance was reflected on the scoreboard.
It was a complete team effort, marked by creativity in attack and composure at the back, as the squad returned to winning ways in emphatic fashion.
