The Lancers Esports Rocket League Duos kicked off their season with a statement victory, soaring past Des Moines Area Community College in a 3-1 series win before falling short against Dallas College Brookhaven 0-3 to move to 1-1 overall.

Driven by dynamic teamwork and clutch aerial plays, the duo of Matthew Cheong and Kevin Ortega Morales controlled the pitch during their opening win against DMACC. Despite facing high-caliber competition right out of the gate, Cheong and Ortega Morales kept the pressure high, capitalizing on key scoring opportunities and shutting down DMACC's counter-attacks to seal the decisive debut victory.

Lancers Coach Hixon (aka 99centMcFury) was thrilled with the duo's immediate impact online, especially considering their short prep time heading into the season.

"Even though Matthew and Kevin had only about two weeks of practice before the season started, I see their chemistry growing each day and it being applied during game day," said Coach Hixon. "By the end of the season, they will be a force to be reckoned with."
