The College of Lake County men's soccer team remained undefeated on the season Tuesday night, battling Morton College to a 2-2 draw in a back-and-forth contest.
CLC struck first when David Mendoza delivered a spectacular goal from distance to give the Lancers the early lead. Morton responded before halftime, sending the teams into the break tied at 1-1.
Morton took its first lead of the match in the second half, but the Lancers continued to battle and found the equalizer through Mario Torres, leveling the match at 2-2.
Neither team was able to find a decisive goal in the closing minutes as the Lancers earned a point and extended their unbeaten start to the season.
CLC will look to continue its strong start as the Lancers return to action next week.
