Kevin Marsh

This is Coach Marsh’s 3rd year on the Lancer staff.  Kevin has been involved in baseball for the last 34 years, at the high school level in the Chicagoland area.  Kevin was the Head Baseball Coach at Deerfield High School (IL) from 1992-2021.  He began his baseball coaching career at Niles North High School in Skokie.  While at Deerfield, he was able to help players continue their playing careers at all divisions of college baseball across the country.  He has been an active member of the Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Association, National High School Baseball Coaches Association and the American Baseball Coaches Association.  He Received the Ethics Award from the Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Association in 2022 and was inducted into the Hall of Fame this year.
 
Kevin attended Missouri Southern State University as a scholarship catcher earning his BA in secondary education.  He was part of the 1986 NAIA College World Series team that finished 8th in the nation.  He has an MA from Northeastern Illinois University in Special Education focusing on behavioral and learning disabilities.  He also holds an advanced certificate in school Administration from National Louis University.  He retired from public education in June 2021.
 
Kevin grew up locally and was a three sport athlete at Mundelein High School.  Kevin and his wife Cheryl, reside in Mundelein.  He has two daughters and a granddaughter living in the Chicagoland area.
