The Lancers men's tennis team picked up a road win over a shorthanded McHenry County College squad.
At #1 doubles, Marshawn Gallego and Seth Lampkin set the tone early, dominating with consistent serves, sharp returns, and aggressive net play en route to an 8-2 victory.
In singles action, Anthony Shultis was first off the court, cruising to a commanding 6-0, 6-1 win at the #2 spot. Nathan Popov stayed steady throughout his match, securing a 6-3, 6-3 victory at #3 singles. At #1, Gallego came out strong with a 6-1 first set win. After dropping the second set 4-6, he responded with resilience, closing out the match with a 10-6 tiebreaker win.
The Lancers return to action at 11 a.m. on Sunday, April 12th at Lakes Community High School in Lake Villa, where they will face Sauk Valley.
