The Lancers traveled to the College of DuPage for their final road match of the season, with both teams closely positioned in the seedings—making every match crucial.
After a delayed start due to rain, the #1 doubles team of Marshawn Gallego and Seth Lampkin set the tone with a strong 8–2 victory. The Lancers followed up with two more doubles wins at #2 from Anthony Shultis and Vinny Marino, and at #3 from Nathan Popov and Pablo Galan.
In singles play, Lampkin, Shultis, and Marino each cruised to convincing victories. At #3 singles, Popov staged an impressive comeback, rallying from a 1–3 deficit to win 11 straight games and secure a 6–3, 6–0 win. Galan, stepping in at #5 singles, battled hard but fell just short in a tight tiebreaker, 9–11.
The #1 singles match proved to be a marathon, with Gallego grinding out a hard-fought win, 7–6 (13–11), 7–6 (7–1).
The Lancers will next face Elgin Community College at Lakes High School at noon.
