Day 3 was a scorcher in Plano.

Marshawn Gallego lost his consolation match 5-8 to Mercer (New Jersey) in the No. 1 position. Next up, Anthony Shultis fell in his consolation match at No. 2 to Oxford Emory (Georgia). Nathan Popov played a tough match but came up short against Paradise Valley (Arizona) in the No. 3 position.

Seth Lampkin earned the Lancers' first win of the day with an 8-6 victory over Mercer (New Jersey). Christopher Donkor then battled back from behind and was leading 5-4 when his opponent retired. Vinny Marino lost to Paradise Valley (Arizona).

Anthony Shultis and Chris Donkor later pulled out a thrilling doubles victory, 9-7.

Lampkin will face Skye Thompson of Oxford Emory on Thursday in the consolation semifinals. Donker will take on Mason Brand of Copiah-Lincoln (Mississippi) in his consolation semifinal match.

Doubles action will begin in the afternoon, with Donkor and Shultis facing Mercer in their semifinal doubles match.
