Women's Cross Country

2019 Season Preview

The CLC women's program is looking forward to posting team scores again after not filling the roster last season.

The last time the Lady Lancers had a full roster, they were Skyway Conference Champions and Region IV Runner Up. Cross country is all about how you perform on race day, how you perform on race has everything to do with how you prepare in the off-season.

"This year we have no returners but none of our ladies are a stranger to the sport. We're looking forward to watching to providing them with opportunities to compete and opening up doors for their future." said Coach Jorge Colin.

The Round Lake High School trio of Yeni Aguirre (SO/Round Lake, IL), Olimpia Cruz (SO/Round Lake, IL) and Alexis Phares (FR/Round Lake, IL) have been fun to watch the first few days of practice. Annie Corbin (FR/Hawthorn Woods, IL), had a great summer of running and is asking all the right questions already. She is hungry and is looking to use CLC as a stepping stone to get her to the next level. Cynthia Arizmendi (FR/Zion, IL) is here for all the right reasons and wants to compete for a top spot too.

The Lady Lancers will toe the line for the first time on at the Ken Weidt Cross Country Classic hosted by Concordia University - WI on September 7 at 11:00am.
