The men's tennis team won their opening match of the season 7--2 against Elmhurst University. All 3 doubles teams were victorious. Gavin Murrie and Dwayne Daarol cruised to win 8-4 in the number 1 position. At number 2 doubles Lukas Junaskis and Evan Bernalis came from behind to win 8-5. Kyle Goodman and Jon Budea controlled the match throughout to win 8-2.

In #1 singles Gavin Murrie came back from 0-3 in the first set and won 6-4,6-4. Dwayne Daarol worked his way through a close first set coming out ahead 6-4 then winning the second set 6-0 at#2 singles. Evan Bernalis was consistent throughout winning handedly 6-2,6-2 in the #3 position. At #4 Lukas Junaskis lost a close match 4-6, 4-6. Jon Budea won his first singles match as a Lancer 6-3,1-6, 10-8 in a match tiebreaker at #5 singles. Also, playing his first match as a Lancer was Ian Reyes. Another close match, but couldn't break through Ian lost 4-6,2-6 at #6 singles. 
 
The Lancers will take on Sauk Valley Friday 3/29 at Lakes Community HS with a noon start.
