The College of Lake County Men's & Women's Cross Country team recently competed in the Illinois Skyway Conference/Region IV Championships hosted by Carl Sandburg College. CLC put on a strong performance with 4-student-athletes earning All-Conference Honors, 2-earning All-Region IV honors, and 2- receiving National bids to compete at the National Championships. Cynthia Arizmendi (Zion-Benton H.S.) led the way for the Lancers placing 3rd overall in Region IV with a Lifetime Best, Personal Record (PR), & School Record of 19:40 in the 5k. Annie Corbin (Mundelein H.S.) also had a PR during the race with . Cynthia and Annie will represent the Lancer's at the National Championships in Albuequerque, NM this weekend November 8-10. Also earning Illinois Skyway Collegiate All-Conference honors were Yeni Aguirre (Round Lake H.S.) posting a time of 22:41, and Victor Mares (Zion-Benton H.S.) posting a time of 29:23 in the 8k in the men's race.
