Lancers compete at Lucian Rosa

Lancers team placed 8th at the 2019 Lucian Rosa Invitational hosted by University of Wisconsin – Parkside.

Victor Mares (FR/Zion, IL) traversed the 8k course in 49th place with a time of 30:16. Hot on his heels was Payton Taylor (FR/Grayslake, IL) in 55th with a time of 30:47.

The three man pack of Roberto Garcia (FR/Gurnee, IL), Vidal Ortega (SO/Round Lake Beach, IL) and Alexander Garcia (SO/Zion, IL) performed well today finishing 62nd, 63rd and 64th respectively.

Also competing for the Lancers was Jeffrey Adamczyk (FR/Antioch, IL) finishing in 73rd and in his first collegiate race Victor Tovar (FR/Round Lake, IL) finished in 76th.

"It was a tough one for our men, they've been working really hard and it showed today. Although it may not seem like much to most we are right where we need to be. 2 PRs, the gap is closing and the team average is down. Those are all important at this time of the season." stated Head Coach Jorge Colin.

The Lancers travel to the West Allis, WI on October 5th to compete at the Warrior Invitational hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran.
