Box Score CLC Lancers Women's soccer took back to the field at home Wednesday afternoon as they hosted to Conference rival Waubonsee CC. The Lancers enter the game with a record of 2-3 while the Chiefs come to campus with a record of 3-1.
After a first half back and forth match, late in the half the Chiefs were able to capitalize and take the 1-0 first half lead on a goal from #15, Ashleigh Wackerlin. The Chiefs were able to net another goal 10 minutes into the 2nd half to take a 2-0 lead. The Lancers kept pushing and knocked in a goal with 24:26 left in the game, thanks to #2 Kelsey Johnson, but were unable to get any closer than 2-1. This drops the Lancers season record to 2-4 and they will look to get back on track over the weekend on the home pitch.
Lancers Women's Soccer will be back in action next Sunday September 18th at 1:00pm, as they host Southwestern Illinois College
