The Lancers volleyball team opened up their first home game of the season hosting the Harper College Hawks Tuesday evening at 6:00pm. The Lancers entered the game with a 4-6 record after playing their first 9 matches on the road.
Excited to play in front of a home crowd, the Lancers jumped out early and never looked back, winning in 3 straight sets over the Hawks of Harper. Lancers shook off some home court jitters to take the first set 25-22 and followed that with some exciting play to win the 2nd set 25-14. The Lancers locked in and finished the 3rd and final set with a score of 25-15 to take the match victory.
The Lancers will be back in action next Wednesday September 14th at 6:00pm, as they hit the road and open up conference play against Morton College.
