Lancers Dominate Morton College in Conference Victory

The CLC Women's Basketball team delivered a dominant performance Tuesday night, rolling to a 135–47 conference victory over Morton College in record-setting fashion.

The Lancers wasted no time asserting control, jumping out to a 36–7 lead after the first quarter and never looking back. The offensive explosion continued for all four quarters as CLC's 135 points set a new single-game scoring record in program history. It was a complete team effort, with every Lancer scoring and the ball consistently finding the open player.

CLC was lethal from the perimeter, knocking down 21 three-pointers on 50 attempts, stretching the floor and overwhelming Morton from the opening tip.

Annamaria Luna led the way with a phenomenal all-around night, finishing with 33 points, 4 rebounds, 8 assists, and 6 steals. Off the bench, Arianna Myers provided instant offense, pouring in 31 points and grabbing 7 rebounds.

The Lancers' balance was on full display as Olivia Robinson added 17 points, 4 assists, and 4 steals, while Nevada Holm posted a dominant double-double with 17 points, 17 rebounds, and 5 assists. Monica Sierzputowski was one assist shy of a triple-double, tallying 12 points, 13 rebounds, and 9 assists.

From deep, Samantha Swanson connected on four three-pointers on her way to 12 points, while TaKevia Sashington chipped in 8 points and 6 rebounds. Kaniya Perkins contributed 3 points and 3 rebounds, and Hannah Reyes rounded out the scoring with 2 points and 3 assists.

Head Coach Tanner Morris praised his team's approach and unselfishness following the win:

"I was really proud of how we played tonight. Our pace, ball movement, and energy were exactly what we talk about every day. When we play unselfish basketball and defend the way we're capable of, good things happen."

The Lancers will look to carry the momentum into their next conference matchup Thursday at Moraine Valley Community College, with tipoff scheduled for 5:15 p.m.
