Served as General Chairman, Immediate Past-General Chairman, Football President, Football At-Large Representative, Basketball Assignment Chairman, Banquet Committee Chairman, Bob Brown Shootout Coordinator, 2019 George Young Memorial Award Recipient, 2011 Football Official of the Year, 2014 Basketball Official of the Year.
Volunteer Official for Illinois Special Olympics Basketball District and state Finals since 1977 including three Unified Basketball State Finals. Volunteer Official for District and State Final Illinois Special Olympics Flag Football. Volunteer Official for Wisconsin Special Plympics Regional Tournaments.
Off court-field was newspaper sports editor and reporter, cable television and radio commentator. Auto racing announcer at Wilmot Raceway. Part-time office staff at Libertyville Manor Senior Citizen Community.
Mike and wife Cathy live in Antioch with three cats. Mike has a step-son, Scott, in Florida, step-daughter, Kelly, in Wisconsin, a grandson Scottie, and two granddaughters Kaley and Kendra. Mike has two sisters, Jean, in Villa Park, and Patsy, in Springfield.
