Hall of Fame
After 37 years within the various IHSA systems, Randy has been able to participate in the growth and development of soccer over the many decades as a referee, Certified grade for the last 32, and as an assignor for all but one of those years. IHSA accomplishments include fourteen state finals appearance, IHSA Conference speaker and recognition as Referee of the Year.
As an assignor, Randy has been responsible for numerous conferences covering 60+ schools with the philosophy that effective assigning is not a passive activity. Rather it is one that requires the assembly of a functional officiating crew that is a match to the needs of the individual game. Assignments are based on ability with only minimal regard given to a referee’s grade or longevity.
Randy has also served in the USSF as a Referee, Instructor, Assessor, Assignor and Regional Referee Coach in addition to being an NCAA Referee.
Personally, Randy has been a Food Broker for over forty years and lives in Deerfield with his wife Bonnie.
