The College of Lake County's Women's Basketball team opened the season in tough fashion, with a 94 - 41 loss to Carl Sandburg College.

Atiana Bey-Wray (FR) had 13 points to lead the Lancers, and Sadie Contreras (SO) added 10. The middle section of the game was the downfall for CLC's team: they were outscored 51 - 16 in the second and third quarters. "It is a tough way to open the season, but we will get better," said Coach Kyle Brokmeier. "The fact that we kept playing hard in the 4th was encouraging. We have to keep in mind it is a long season, and most of what we did wrong is correctable."

The Lancers are in action again on Saturday, November 7, at Joliet College. Next home game is November 10 vs MATC at 5:15 p.m.
