The College of Lake County Women's Basketball team continued its dominant stretch Thursday night with an 82-47 victory over Prairie State College, extending the Lancers' winning streak to nine straight games.

From the opening tip, the Lancers made it clear they were not letting up. Looking to build on their recent momentum, CLC exploded out of the gates with a 36-9 first-quarter run, overwhelming the Pioneers with relentless defensive pressure and efficient offensive execution. The energy and focus never wavered, as the Lancers carried that momentum into halftime with a commanding 53-23 lead.

Coming out of the break, CLC wasted no time putting the game completely out of reach. The Lancers continued to share the basketball, defend at a high level, and control the glass, closing out the night in convincing fashion.

Annamaria Luna led the scoring attack with 20 points and 5 assists, controlling the pace throughout the contest. Nevada Holm delivered a lights-out shooting performance, knocking down 6-of-8 from beyond the arc on her way to 18 points. Monica Sierzputowski recorded a dominant double-double with 16 points and 16 rebounds, anchoring the paint on both ends.

Olivia Robinson added 14 points and 4 assists without committing a single turnover, a testament to her efficiency and leadership at the point guard position.

The Lancers also received strong contributions off the bench. Arianna Myers posted 9 points and 9 rebounds, while Samantha Swanson (2 points), TaKevia Sashington (2 points, 3 rebounds), and Kaniya Perkins (1 point, 2 rebounds, 2 blocks) all made impactful contributions in extended minutes.

With the win, the Lancers continue to build momentum as they head into the final stretch of the regular season.

CLC will be back in action on February 17 as they travel to McHenry County College looking to push their winning streak to double digits.
