The Lancers walked into Morton College with a purpose and from the opening tip, they made it clear this was going to be a statement night.
With a defensive checklist and a "mental toughness" mindset, CLC exploded out of the gates for a commanding 31-10 first quarter lead and never took their foot off the gas. The Lancers were locked in on both ends, turning defensive pressure into offensive rhythm.
The first half was a shooting clinic.
CLC buried 9 three-pointers in the first half, including a scorching 5-for-5 start from beyond the arc, building separation early and forcing Morton to scramble. That momentum didn't cool off after halftime either, the Lancers knocked down 10 more threes in the second half, finishing with 19 total triples on their way to a dominant 110-45 victory.
The win marks 7 straight victories for the Lancers as they continue to build momentum at the right time of year.
Annamaria Luna delivered a historic performance, pouring in a career-high 39 points to go along with 7 assists and 6 steals, impacting the game at every level.
Olivia Robinson orchestrated the offense brilliantly with 19 points and 11 assists, while Nevada Holm added 18 points and 8 rebounds. Arianna Myers chipped in 18 points, and Monica Sierzputowski controlled the glass with 17 rebounds to go with 7 points, anchoring the interior presence.
The Lancers now shift their focus to a massive showdown Tuesday at home against conference-leading Moraine Valley, who enters the matchup riding a 21-game winning streak. It will be a battle of 1st vs. 2nd place in the conference and a true test of the Lancers' growth, toughness, and momentum.
Tip-off is scheduled for a 5:15pm start.
