Game 1:

The Lancers took Tuesday's game in dramactic fasion, with a 6-5 walk-off victory over the Oakton Owls. The game was tied at 5 with the Lancers batting in the bottom of the 7th, when an error scored 1 run for the Lancers.  The Oakton Owls scored 5 runs in the 6th inning, but CLC still managed to pull out the victory.  The Lancers got things going in the 2nd inning when Breckyn Mercer singled on a 2-1 count scoring on run.  Julianna Villalbobs pitched the Lancers to victory, as she went 7 innings, allowing 5 runs on 4 hits and striking out 1. Emily Divelviss took the loss for the Owls, as she lasted 6 and 2/3s innings, giving up 12 hits and 6 runs while striking out 2.  The Lancers saw the ball well, as they were able to rack up 12 hits in game 1. Kassidy Wais, Brooke Bennett and Mercer all managed multiple hits. 

Game 2:

The Lancers took their game in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk off double in the bottom of the 7th inning to take game 2 from the Oakton Owls.  The game was tied at 11 with the Lancers batting in the bottom of the 7th when Shannon Izzo doubled on a 3-2 count to score the game winning run.  The Lancers bats were blistering as they collected 13 hits for the game.  CLC put up 7 runs in the 6th inning thanks to singles by Izzo and Julianna Vallalobos, an error on a ball put in play by Kassidy Wais and a double by Breckyn Mercer. Amber Smith earned the win for the Lancers, as she threw 6 innings, allowing 6 hits and 5 runs while striking out 6 Owls. Villalobos threw 1 inning in relief.  The Lancers scattered 13 hits in Game 2, Bibby, Smith, Izzo and Vallalobos all had multiple hits- Bibby led the Lancers with 3 hits in her 4 at bats.

The Lancers are back in action Wednesday (4/19) at home vs. Bryant and Stratton College, game times are scheduled for 3:00pm and 5:00pm
