GAME 1: CLC 9 MCC 7

The Lancers built a 9 run lead in the 2nd inning and then held off McHenry CC late charge for a 9-7 victory.  The 1st inning the Lancers got their offense started when Breckyn Mercer doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring 2 runs.  Amber Smith took the win for the Lancers after going 5 innings, allowing 5 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 4 and 0 walks.  Julianna Villalobos threw 2 innings in relief.  The Lancers tallied 6 hits in the game, led by Mercer and Haley Bibby each with 2 hits.

GAME 2: CLC 8 MCC 12

Amber Smith Collected 4 hits, but the Lancers fell to McHenry 12-8 in game 2.  Smith Singled had 2 first inning singles, 2nd and 4th inning.  The Lancers collected 13 hits.  They opened up the scoring in the 2nd inning when Smith singled on a 0-1 count, driving in 1 run.  The Lancers then notched 3 runs in the 7th inning, led by Shannon Izzo, Smith and Breckyn Mercer, who all drove in runs.  Katelyn Volkmar threw in game 2 for the Lancers and lasted 5 1/3 innings, Smith came in and threw 2 2/3 innings to finish the game.  The Lancers were led in hitting by Smith with 4 hits in 6 at bats, Kassidy Wais and Ruth Foskett each had multiple hits for the Lancers in game 2 as well.
