Sophomore day was a success for the Lancers as they scored early and often to take down the Illinois Valley Eagles at home Saturday by a score of 8-0. The Lancers were led in scoring by Sophomore
Jasmin Ortiz who had a hattrick on the day in the first 15 minutes of the first half and the Lancers raced out to a 4-0 lead. In addition to Ortiz, Sophomore
Brenda Rojas (who scored 30 seconds into the contest), Freshman
Giselle Morales-Cobian, and Freshman
Mariana Gollaz contributed goals to propel the Lancers to a 7-0 halftime lead.
In the second half, Sophomore
Anabelle Hernandez needed just 4 and a half minutes to notch the 8
th and final goal for the Lancers. The Lancer goal scorers got plenty of help from their teammates with Sophomore

Kayla McCarthy, and Sophomore
Jasmin Mejia getting the assists. The Lancers earned their 4
th shutout of the season. The goalkeeping duties were split between Sophomore
Giselle Mata (2 saves) and Sophomore
Jordan Chumbley (3 saves).
The Lancers earned their 9
th win of the season as they wrapped up their regular season. They honored 12 sophomores with family and friends playing their final regular season game for CLC. The sophomores are
