Since 1980, the prestigious Dick Durrant Award has recognized the top student-athletes in the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference who exemplify academic excellence. Named after former Elgin Community College Athletic Director Dick Durrant—an advocate for the balance of academic and athletic achievement—the award honors one male and one female student-athlete annually who hold the highest cumulative GPA, having completed at least 48 college credit hours.
We are proud to announce that this year's female recipient of the Dick Durrant Award is Gladdie Greenfield of the College of Lake County Women's Soccer program. Gladdie achieved a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA while competing at the highest level, exemplifying what it means to be a true student-athlete.
Congratulations, Gladdie, on this well-deserved honor!
