The Lancers women's soccer team opened conference and region IV play with a 4-1 victory Wednesday August 28 in Elgin against Elgin Community College. Although quickly going down 1-0 to the Spartans, the Lancers bounced back with 4 unanswered goals to finish the first half. That finished the scoring for both teams as they battled each other as well as the warm temperatures.

Scoring for the Lancers were Kayla McCarthy (assist by Brenda Rojas), Alejandra Colo (assist by Giselle Morales-Cobian), Brenda Rojas (assist by Jasmin Ortiz), and Jasmin Ortiz (assist by Kayla McCarthy). In goal for the Lancers was Giselle Mata (4 saves).

Next up for the Lancers will be Saturday August 31 at 1 pm at South Suburban College.
