The College of Lake County women's soccer team pulled out a narrow 1-0 victory over Triton College on Saturday afternoon in Region IV action.
Â
After 80 minutes of back-and-forth play where both teams struggled to find the finishing touch, freshman forward
Kylie Parisi finally broke the deadlock for the Lancers. In the 82nd minute, Parisi rose above the defense and headed home a perfectly placed cross from fellow freshman
Diana Avitia, giving CLC the decisive lead.
Â
Freshman goalkeeper
Makayla Doschadis anchored the Lancers defensively, recording seven saves and earning her second shutout of the season. Her steady play in net helped CLC withstand consistent pressure from the Trojans, who created multiple scoring chances but were unable to convert.
