The College of Lake County women's soccer team delivered a dominant performance Wednesday afternoon, earning a 5-1 Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference victory over Oakton College in Des Plaines, IL.
Freshman forward Kylie Parisi led the charge with a hat trick, scoring three goals to pace the Lancers' attack. Parisi opened the scoring in the first half on an assist from freshman Yatziri Martinez Gomez. Shortly after, freshman Grace Quirke converted a penalty kick to give CLC a 2-0 lead heading into halftime.
In the second half, Parisi struck twice more to complete her three-goal performance, while freshman Diana Avitia added a goal of her own to cap off the scoring for the Lancers.
Oakton managed a late goal, but the CLC defense held firm behind freshman goalkeeper Makayla Doschadis, who recorded four saves in the win.
The Lancers will close out conference play next Wednesday at home against Elgin Community College.
