The Lancers closed out a demanding stretch in emphatic fashion Monday night, earning an 80–72 victory over traditional NJCAA powerhouse Joliet Junior College in their fourth game in four days.
With tired legs evident early, CLC battled through a challenging first half and went into the locker room trailing 46–37. Following an inspiring halftime message from Coach Wuczynski, the Lancers responded with grit, toughness, and renewed energy, leaving everything on the floor in the second half.
CLC turned the momentum with improved defensive intensity and timely baskets, steadily chipping away at the deficit before taking control down the stretch. The resilient effort paid off as the Lancers outworked Joliet over the final 20 minutes to secure the hard-earned 80–72 victory.
The Lancers were led by a balanced scoring effort, highlighted by Emmanuel Willoughby's 13 points and 3 rebounds. Corey Lee added 11 points and 3 rebounds, while Owen Squires chipped in 10 points. Tracy Kalonda contributed 9 points and 3 rebounds, and Quinn Athanassoulis rounded out the effort with 8 points and 7 rebounds.
The win caps an impressive stretch against elite competition. The Lancers will now turn their attention to wrapping up semester play on Saturday with a road matchup against No. 5-ranked Parkland College.
