The CLC Men's Basketball team picked up a strong 85–73 road victory at Elgin Community College, continuing a hot return from winter break and improving to 2–0 in conference play.
The Lancers faced a tight battle early, heading into halftime trailing 46–45, but responded with a locked-in defensive effort in the second half. CLC turned up the pressure on the defensive end, forcing tough looks and timely stops that allowed them to seize control and pull away down the stretch.
Corey Lee led the way with a complete performance, finishing with 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists. Emmanuel Willoughby matched Lee with 15 points while adding 3 assists, providing steady scoring throughout the night. Robert Walls II chipped in 10 points and 3 assists, while Iyayi Osunde gave the Lancers a big lift off the bench with 11 points and 4 rebounds.
With the win, CLC continues to build momentum early in conference play.
The Lancers return home next as they host Morton College on Tuesday, February 13th, with tipoff scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
