The Lancers women's basketball team hit the road for their final regular-season away game Tuesday night, taking on host McHenry County College. From the opening tip, the Lancers dictated the tempo, using relentless full-court pressure and red-hot shooting to seize control early.
A scorching first quarter saw the Lancers race out to a 28-16 lead, fueled by defensive intensity and sharp shooting from beyond the arc. The momentum carried into the second quarter, as the Lancers poured it on to take a commanding 56-27 lead into halftime.
The second half was more of the same, as the Lancers stayed locked in and never took their foot off the gas. Knocking down 11 three-pointers on the night—led by sophomore guard Chloe Sisco's 6-for-12 performance from downtown—the Lancers displayed both discipline and focus for a full 40 minutes. Their dominance resulted in a resounding 98-51 victory and a season sweep of the MCC Scots.
