GAME 1: CLC 5 Waubonsee 1
College of Lake County picked up a 5–1 win over Waubonsee Community College in Game 1 on Friday afternoon.
The Lancers struck early, getting on the board in the first inning when Javy Rolon doubled to bring in the game's first run. They continued to build momentum in the second, as Eiker Noguera delivered an RBI single to extend the lead to 3–0.
Matt Self turned in a dominant performance on the mound, going the distance and allowing just one run on three hits over seven innings. He struck out five and walked one to earn the win. Cranshaw took the loss for Waubonsee, giving up three runs on four hits over 1.2 innings.
College of Lake County tallied nine hits in the game, with Pratim Amin and Eiker Noguera each recording two. Eiker Noguera led the way offensively with three RBIs, finishing 2-for-3 at the plate. Defensively, the Lancers were flawless, not committing an error, with Luke Koeller leading the way with 10 chances in the field.
Merlak drove in Waubonsee's lone run, while Cusack, Williams, and Klemm each added a hit. Waubonsee also played clean defense, turning a double play and finishing without an error, led by Hernandez with nine fielding chances.

GAME 2: CLC 2 Waubonsee 13
College of Lake County fell 13–2 to Waubonsee Community College on Friday on the road, despite out-hitting their opponent 8–6.
College of Lake County struck first in the opening inning when Julio Goyo singled to bring home a run. Javy Rolon and John Merk led the offensive effort with two hits apiece, while Javy Rolon and Julio Goyo each drove in a run.
Waubonsee turned the game in the third inning, capitalizing on opportunities to plate six runs on just one hit and take a 6–1 lead. The key moment came on a double by Stanley, who drove in two runs on a seven-pitch at-bat.
Mello earned the win for Waubonsee, allowing eight hits and two runs (one earned) over six innings while striking out one and walking one. Zander Locy took the loss for the Lancers, going 2.2 innings and allowing six runs (none earned) with five strikeouts and three walks.
Waubonsee's lineup showed depth throughout, with Hernandez, the nine-hole hitter, leading the way with three hits in four at-bats. They also displayed patience at the plate, drawing eight walks, with Carroll and Smith each earning two. Waubonsee added a double play defensively to round out their performance.
The Lancers will look to carry the momentum into their next matchup at Madison College on Sunday.
