GAME 1: CLC 8 McHenry 0
The College of Lake County delivered a dominant performance on Sunday, shutting out McHenry County College 8-0 on the road.
The Lancers wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, capitalizing on a McHenry error in the first inning. Kaylin Worley lifted a sacrifice fly, and Olivia Peters followed with an RBI single to center, helping plate three early runs.
College of Lake County extended its lead in the second inning with more aggressive offense. Emma Andrews singled to center to drive in a run, Lindsey Radermacher added another RBI on a ground out, and Olivia Peters stayed hot at the plate with a second run scoring single to push the lead even further.
In the circle, Cayden VonSande was outstanding, tossing five shutout innings while allowing no hits, striking out eight, and walking just one. McHenry's Radke took the loss, giving up 10 hits and eight runs (six earned) over four innings.
The Lancers' offense was fueled by balanced production throughout the lineup. Olivia Peters, Megan Livingston, Kaylin Worley, and Emma Andrews each collected two hits, while Lindsey Radermacher, Olivia Peters, Kaylin Worley, and Emma Andrews all drove in two runs apiece. Megan Livingston added pressure on the bases with three stolen bases as the team swiped five total.
Defensively, College of Lake County was flawless, not committing a single error. Tyler Brock led the way in the field with eight chances.
It was a complete team effort on both sides of the ball as the Lancers controlled the game from start to finish.
GAME 2: CLC 4 McHenry 0
Olivia Peters shut down Mchenry CC, throwing a complete game shutout and leading College of Lake County to a 4-0 victory on Sunday at McHenry.

Megan Livingston put College of Lake County on the board in the top of the second.
Huber stepped in the circle first for Mchenry CC. The pitcher surrendered six hits and four runs (three earned) over seven innings, striking out eight and walking three.
Olivia Peters led College of Lake County with two hits in three at bats.
