GAME 1: CLC 3 DACC 7
The Jaguars wasted no time getting on the board, plating two runs in the bottom of the first inning after Gonski singled and Dominguez lifted a sacrifice fly, each driving in a run. Danville added to its lead in the third inning when Rannebarger tripled to center field, bringing home two more runs to create separation early.
Cayden VonSande got the start in the circle for College of Lake County, tossing 4.1 innings while allowing nine hits and seven runs (four earned). She struck out five and walked one. Fasig started for Danville and went three innings, surrendering five hits and two runs while striking out one and walking four.
Offensively, VonSande and Lindsey Radermacher led the way for the Lancers, each collecting two hits while hitting back-to-back in the lineup. Tyler Brock and Radermacher each drove in a run. The Lancers were aggressive on the base paths, with VonSande and Gretchen Hansen swiping multiple bases. As a team, College of Lake County drew four walks and totaled four stolen bases, consistently applying pressure throughout the game.
Danville finished with 11 hits on the day. Bellik and Cihla paced the Jaguars with two hits apiece from back-to-back spots in the order. Dominguez and Rannebarger each drove in two runs, and the Jaguars turned one double play defensively.
GAME 2: CLC 7 DACC 8
Despite a monster day at the plate from Skye Meler, College of Lake County came up just short in an 8–7 loss to the Danville Jaguars on Wednesday in Danville.
Meler was unstoppable at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles and two singles. She doubled in the first and third innings before adding singles in the fourth and sixth to lead the Lancers offensively.
College of Lake County out-hit the Jaguars 14–8 and struck first in the opening inning when Meler roped a double to bring home the game's first run. The Lancers broke things open in the top of the third, scoring five runs on five hits. Tyler Brock singled to drive in a run, Emma Andrews drew a bases-loaded walk, Radermacher delivered a two-RBI single, and Megan Livingston capped the inning with an RBI single to give CLC a commanding lead.
Danville answered late, reclaiming the lead in the bottom of the sixth inning. Olson singled, Warner lined a base hit down the right field line, Truelove drew a walk, and Ring added a sacrifice fly, with each play bringing in a run to put the Jaguars back in front for good.
Sophia Zepeda got the start for the Lancers, going six innings while allowing eight hits and eight runs (four earned), striking out one and walking three. Peal started in the circle for Danville, surrendering four hits and three runs over two innings.
Radermacher led College of Lake County with two RBIs, while VonSande, Olivia Peters, and Kaylin Worley each added multiple hits in the 14-hit effort. The Lancers also turned two double plays defensively.
Truelove paced the Jaguars with three RBIs from the heart of the order, going 2-for-3 at the plate. Warner, Olson, and Truelove each recorded two hits for Danville in the win.
