Game 1: CLC 13 Morton 0
The College of Lake County delivered a commanding performance on Thursday, shutting out the Morton College Panthers 13–0 at the College of Lake County.
College of Lake County wasted no time taking control of the game, plating four runs in the bottom of the first inning. Skye Meler got things started with a two-run double, followed by an RBI single from Emma Andrews. Lindsey Radermacher added to the early momentum with a run scoring ground out to cap the inning.
The offense stayed hot in the second inning, adding four more runs to extend the lead. Gretchen Hansen drove in a run with a single, Tyler Brock followed with an RBI single of his own, and Skye Meler lifted a sacrifice fly that brought in two runs.
College of Lake County continued to build its advantage in the third inning, highlighted by a single from Megan Livingston and a triple by Tyler Brock.
In the circle, Sophia Zepeda was dominant, tossing five hitless innings while allowing no runs. The lefty struck out one and walked two in an efficient outing. Meanwhile, Morton College's starter struggled to contain the lineup, surrendering 10 runs on six hits over two and one-third innings.
