GAME 1: CLC 12 Waubonsee 7

Tyler Brock showed impressive discipline at the plate on Tuesday, drawing three walks to help lead College of Lake County to a 12–7 victory over Waubonsee CC.
College of Lake County got on the board early in the first inning when Skye Meler singled to bring in the game's first run. They added another in the third after Tyler Brock lined a single down the left field line to extend the lead.
Waubonsee CC responded in the fourth inning, tying the game thanks to a solo home run to center by Crosby and a defensive miscue.
The turning point came in the fifth, when College of Lake County erupted for a big inning. Emma Andrews and Kaylin Worley each delivered RBI singles, Lindsey Radermacher added a sacrifice fly, and additional runs scored on a Waubonsee error, a Olivia Peters double, and a Gretchen Hansen single putting College of Lake County firmly in control.
Waubonsee CC attempted to rally late. Ignasak launched a two-run homer in the sixth, and Zamora added a three-run blast in the seventh, but it wasn't enough to overcome the deficit.
Nadia McCabe earned the win for College of Lake County, allowing just three hits and two runs (one earned) over four innings while striking out two. Zamora took the loss for Waubonsee CC after surrendering nine runs (six earned) in two innings of work. Olivia Peters also contributed in relief for College of Lake County.
Offensively, College of Lake County racked up 14 hits. Skye Meler led the team with three RBIs, going 2-for-3, while Megan Livingston and Kaylin Worley each collected three hits. Tyler Brock reached base three times via walks, helping spark an offense that totaled seven walks on the day.
On the bases, Megan Livingston stole four bags, and the team totaled seven stolen bases, showcasing aggressive base running throughout. They also turned one double play defensively.
Game 2: CLC 8 Waubonsee 6

College of Lake County erased a five-run deficit to defeat Waubonsee CC, 8–6, on Tuesday.
Waubonsee CC broke things open in the third inning. Torrance put them on the board with an RBI single, Moore followed with a two-run single, and another run scored on a fielder's choice off the bat of Delgado to give Waubonsee a 4–0 lead.
College of Lake County chipped away and pulled even in the fifth. Tyler Brock started the rally with a single, Emma Andrews delivered a double, Kaylin Worley added an RBI single, and an error helped bring the game back to even.
Waubonsee responded in the sixth when Torrance came through again with an RBI single to reclaim a 6–5 advantage. But the lead didn't last long.
In the bottom half of the inning, College of Lake County answered decisively. Emma Andrews tied the game with a sacrifice fly before Cayden VonSande and Olivia Peters each lined RBI singles down the right field line to give College of Lake County an 8–6 lead they would not relinquish.
Sophia Zepeda got the start for College of Lake County, allowing five runs (three earned) on six hits over four innings while striking out two. Marks started for Waubonsee CC and struck out six while allowing five runs over four and one-third innings. Cayden VonSande provided key relief to help secure the win.
College of Lake County totaled 13 hits on the day. Megan Livingston set the tone at the top of the order, going 3-for-4. Emma Andrews and Kaylin Worley each drove in two runs, while Tyler Brock, Lindsey Radermacher, and Skye Meler added multiple hits. Lindsey Radermacher also drew two walks as the team showed patience with four total free passes.
The Lancers are back in action Wednesday for 1 game vs. Morton College at 3:00pm to complete their double-header from last month that was postponed.Â
